Brand Awareness

"For centuries, human girls have been the preferred steeds of mountain goblins, as they combine sureness of foot on mountain trails with ideal size, strength and temperament for goblin riders. Though a menace to some mountain communities, the girlrider tribes are elusive as shadows, and in any case, pose no threat to life or limb. Indeed, the presence of a goblin tribe helps keep more deadly threats, like Troglytes and Raven Women, away from farming villages, easing pressure on stretched guard patrols.

"And so, while no human ruler would admit as much, most are relieved to simply allow them passage, provided they confine their roundups to foreigners and peasant girls, and do not trouble trade routes. Some market towns even welcome mountain goblin traders, who invariably bring with them valuable gemstones gathered from the peaks, making them a common sight on certain streets - a far cry from being dismissed as bawdy fairy tales, as girl-riding goblins so often are in the cities far from the mountains. And of course, where there is a market, there are people ready to exploit it..."

I was trying to do a closer-up image of the rearmost goblin and ponygirl from here, and mission creep set in  - it grew from the basic concept of a butt-slap into this full blown scene which I wasn't really intending to make. I'm not even sure if I like it, if it fits with the series, mostly because I haven't really got a story for exactly why this scene is happening. But meh, nothing in this series really fits with any of the rest of it anyway, they all have a slightly different tone to them... It's done now, so here it is.

It would appear to be a direct continuation of this.
